This will detail condition of the coat, grooming requirements, important medical history of your dog and its disposition/behaviour. Included in the price of your dog's groom is bathing, drying, clipping and/or scissoring, nails trimmed, feet trimmed, ears and eyes cleaned. Factors which determine the price of the groom include the following:
De-Matting Policy In the case of a severely matted coat, attempts to de-matt will be not be made. Dematting is painfully cruel and breaches the Animal Welfare Act (2007). The Animal Welfare Act states that it is an offence to cause animals pain or discomfort and we reserve the right to refuse to do anything we think may be detrimental to your pet’s well-being. In cases like this, the only kind thing to do is to shave under the mats to release them and allow the skin to breathe and the coat to grow again. This will incur an additional charge. Puppy Grooming Your puppy is ready for its first professional puppy groom as soon as it's vaccinations are complete. Your puppy's first professional grooming experience must be positive. This prepares it for a lifetime of grooming parlour visits. It is vital that your new pup and becomes accustomed to the regular bathing, drying & brushing necessary to maintain a healthy skin & coat. Doncaster Dog Grooming's one-to-one service means that your dog will usually be ready to collect within 1.5 - 3 hours. There is no need to leave your dog all day. You will be allocated a specific time to collect your dog. Please ensure you are not late. Late collections may incur an additional charge. All dogs are bathed by hand using only the best quality shampoos and conditioners according to the dog's coat and skin type/condition. We are happy to apply your own specialist veterinary prescribed shampoos and rinses. If your dog is found to have fleas then a special flea shampoo will be applied that will kill all fleas, followed by the normal shampooing regime. Pets are dried by hand using specialist forced air dryers which help to remove dead hairs and show the skin so that any problem areas can be seen. Once bathing, drying, clipping and scissoring has been done to your requirements, your best pal will be given a FREE spritz with a specialist doggy perfume - and a FREE bow or sparkle applied. CREATIVE GROOMING If you like your dog to stand out from the crowd, then why not add some colour or glitz. Non-toxic wash-out colour can be applied to your special doggy.
